Susan Abbott Vermont

Susan Abbott's art transforms the ordinary into compositions of unexpected beauty. Abbott graduated from the Maryland Institute, College of Art with a BFA and MFA. She has worked as a professional artist since that time, exhibiting in galleries and museums around the country. Her paintings are represented in numerous international corporate and individual collections and have been featured in many publications and media. The art critic for the Washington Post commented on Abbott's paintings, “There simply aren’t many…who can match her level of expertise. What makes her painting so interesting, however, is the tension between the dazzling display of skill and the underlying idea.” She lives in northern Vermont.
